Photo-sensors are required for high efficient functional systems such as flat panel displays on flexible glass and plastic substrate.

Generally, photo-sensors are used to absorb light energy and to convert to electrical energy as a photo-detector.

In general, silicon is often used for the light absorbing layer material in photo-sensors.
